Recommenders don’t need to write a letter. You should talk to you recommenders before you apply and ask them to serve as a recommender. Then, you submit their email address to us in your online application form. We send them a link with a few questions about you and that’s it!

We want to share DYA with as many people as possible. We also want to gather a community of young people who are eager to dive deep in Christian community and theology together. Submit your best application and we’ll worry about the rest!
For applications submitted by the priority deadline, we will issue acceptance letters at the beginning of the year.
For applications submitted after the priority deadline, please give us a few weeks.
We’ll do our best to communicate on our website and facebook page if we have spaces open. If you are unsure, shoot us an email at duyouth@div.duke.edu and we will happily let you know if we are still accepting applications.
Of course! Our funds may be limited after the priority deadline, but we will do our best to help you.
When you receive your acceptance letter, you will have a month to reserve your place with a $100 deposit.
The remainder of your fees will be due one month before DYA.
